Patient Charter


Patients can book a limited number of appointments to see the GP or nurse up to 8 weeks in advance. Requests for same-day appointments will be referred to a GP who will speak with you on the telephone to triage your call.  Dependent on your needs ywe may be able to offer you telephone advice, an appointment the same day or a later appointment.

Cancellation /Did Not Attend Policy

The practice would appreciate patients cancelling unwanted appointments with GP or other health professionals in advance.  We recognise that this is not always possible.

The practice does monitor its appointment non-attendance and it will write to patients that default on their appointments on 3 consecutive occasions within a 6 month period.  Continuation of non-attendance of booked appointments may result in patients being removed from the practice list.

Chaperone Service

If requested a member of the practice staff can accompany you during your consultation and/or examination with GP or nurse.

Zero Tolerance

The practice operates with the NHS zero tolerance policy on violence and aggression.
