Women's Health clinic
This clinic is run by GP Specialist Training doctors on a Friday morning. These are fully qualified doctors receiving additional training in women's medicine. There are also appointments available on other days.
If this timing is not convenient, appointments can be made on other days and times with one of our doctors or nurses.
This clinic is suitable for patients who wish to consult regarding:
- Pill checks
- Coil checks
- Depo Provera injections
- All Other contraception
- Sexual difficulties
- Vaginal discomfort or discharge
- Period problems
- Premenstrual syndrome
- Ring pessary changes
- And advice prior to the fitting of:
- Coils / Hormone implants / Contraceptive implants.

Then complete an eConsult for Contraception. This can be accessed via the link on the front page of the website – Contact Our Practice Online – Get Started – and Contraception is under the Women’s Health Section, or select this link.
Your information will then be reviewed by a clinician and you will then be advised to make an appointment with a clinician.
Following your discussion with the clinician, if you are then put on a list for insertion of a NEXPLANON implant, you will be asked to read and sign a consent form that you have understood the benefits and any associated risks.
Following your discussion with the clinician, if you are then put on a list of a coil insertion, you will be asked to read and sign a consent form that you have understood the procedure and associated risks.
